Today is Almanzo's birthday, and I'm going to celebrate by trying a batch of his favorite vittles, fried apples & onions.

That's Almanzo?? I don't think I've ever seen a photo of him before! Gosh, he was a good looking fellow. No wonder all the girls liked him, lol.
